Taken in March near Onion lake, just outside of Thunder Bay ON during a trip winter camping for my OSAT II class.

I'd switched to my 300 lens and had been taking some photo's of sunset across the swamp, and when I came back to camp I just took a few shots of people from a way's back. (fun thing to do with a big tube sticking out of your camera!)

Hastie was chopping wood and wanting to get an action shot i lined him up and took this shot. He has great form, textbook from the risk management plan for lakehead - on his knees, no one around, focused...
The timing couldn't have been better, one chop, one shot - perfect split timing on both parts.

The woodhas only just jumped off the block, the axe hasnt yet hit the chopping block, and the pieces of the wood are nearly the same.

Good form!

This photo went on to win 2nd place in the outdoor recreation photo comp at the uni.

Good times, great people, better memories.
Enjoy!
Sven.
